Job summary

Utile Engineering, a UK-based manufacturer, is seeking a competent mechanical engineer for its assembly and testing operations. The role involves preparing, assembling and pressure testing skid-mounted pump packages, gas/air mixing pipework, and related assemblies.

The successful candidate will work from engineering drawings, use inspection tools, perform basic machining as needed, and adhere to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Background in Mechanical Engineering and assembly experience.
• Competence in reading engineering drawings and using basic inspection tools.
• Formal qualifications are helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble and pressure test skid-mounted pump packages and pipework.
• Build and kit components for assembly according to company drawings.
• Interpret drawings and use inspection equipment to company standards.
• Rectify faults during assembly and testing as required.
• Carry out routine maintenance and ensure work area is clean and safe.
• Complete documentation relevant to the department on a routine basis.
