A local government authority in Fareham is seeking an individual for the role of Smart Motorway Team Clerk. The position focuses on improving road safety through administrative support and effective communication. We are looking for individuals to join our Smart Motorway Team which is committed to improving road safety.
You will need a good understanding of IT systems and have a positive mindset to learning.
The role involves improving Road Safety through education and enforcement. You will need good communication skills with an ability to work accurately while performing a variety of clerical tasks.

SJU Safety Camera & Ticket Enforcement Team Clerk
Location: Whiteley, Parkway, Nearby parking and excellent links to motorway. Located near shops, cafes and local walks.
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: Monday 1st December 2025 at 23:59 hours
We are looking for team members who are accurate and have good attention to detail in their work, share good interpersonal skills and maintain a high level of professionalism. You will build and use investigative skills, as part of a team. Your duties will include:
Full bespoke training package provided during the first 12 weeks of appointment.

You should be educated to QCF Level 2 (3-5 passes) OR have proven significant work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level.
Experience of working in a busy administrative environment and undertaking complex administrative tasks to a high standard.
Experience of dealing with the public would be desirable.
