Site Technician

Location: London

Position: Permanent

Job Description

A Site Technician is needed to join a building surveying consultancy in London. The role involves working within a small team on projects that include testing, sampling, and construction material removal to facilitate inspections. Responsibilities include leading smaller site projects, preparing documentation such as reports, risk assessments, and method statements, producing CAD drawings, assisting junior technicians and engineers, maintaining records, transporting materials, and ensuring sites are clean.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience on construction sites
• Experience with surveying equipment (GPR, covermeter, core drilling, etc.)
• GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science (A*-C)
• Valid UK driving license
• Ability to use initiative, work independently and in a team, and possess strong organizational and communication skills
• Good problem-solving, practical, and mathematical skills
• HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline and familiarity with AutoCAD are advantageous but not essential
