Job summary

Castle Employment Group in North Yorkshire is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the site's food safety, quality and technical standards. The role offers progression from assistant roles, with responsibility for the Technical and Quality teams and collaboration with Production and Engineering.

The package includes a £58,000–£62,000 salary, Monday–Friday working pattern, and opportunities to develop in a site leadership role within a leading food manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a site technical function.
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, audits, food safety and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead food safety, quality and technical standards across the site.
• Manage and develop the Technical and Quality team.
• Support and lead customer, certification and external audits.
• Manage HACCP, GMP and food safety systems.
• Oversee internal audits, traceability and technical documentation.
• Investigate non-conformances, complaints and quality issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering to resolve issues.
• Monitor CCPs and key production controls.
• Support improvements to technical systems and processes.
• Drive a positive food safety and quality culture across the site.
