Job summary

A prominent retail company is seeking a Team Leader for its Westerleigh site in the UK. The individual will assist the departmental Supervisor in managing the daily operations, ensuring efficient loading and storage of goods, maintaining documentation, and supervising staff levels. Candidates should have experience in a fast-paced food production environment and possess key skills in health and safety protocols. The role requires flexibility in working hours, tailored to team needs.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of run rates, yields, and good manufacturing practices is necessary.
  • Candidates must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge and experience with food production machinery is essential.
  • Health & Safety awareness is required.
  • COSHH awareness is important.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Supervisor with overseeing the daily running of the area.
  • Load/offload goods and ensure they are stored tidily.
  • Record issued equipment/goods as per management systems.
  • Complete all documentation and records in full.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment and report inefficiencies.
  • Keep site areas outside the building litter-free.
  • Conduct audits on condition of areas and report issues.
  • Manage staff levels and report shortfalls to the Hygiene Manager.
