Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Mechanical Site Supervisor AP for Beckton to oversee and control mechanical AP site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution. You will report to the Senior Commissioning Manager and work to the project specifications and ITPs.

Ideal candidates will have several years in the energy sector, with knowledge of pipework fabrication, welding, and erection, plus AP experience and qualifications like SSSTS/CSCS. First aid training is also desirable.

Qualifications

• Several years energy sector experience.
• Understands pipework fabrication, welding and erection.
• Knows how to punch and snag pipelines from Isometric, GA and P&ID drawings.
• Previous AP role experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and partners.
• Obtain Appointed Person status through MWH mechanical AP assessment.
• Ensure HS&E documents are current and reviewed on receipt.
• Provide mechanical isolations in line with project works.
• Manage and maintain mechanical ITPs.
• Check that documents describe the work to be carried out.
• Review Method Statements and Work Instructions per Project Execution Plan.
• Supervise work to ensure compliance with statements and instructions.
• Record progress on record drawings or other suitable means.
• Record non-conformances and agree actions with the person in charge.

Job description

We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with a Mechanical Site Supervisor AP based at Beckton.

You will report directly to the Senior Commissioning Manager and your role will supervise and control all mechanical AP site activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time without risk to the health and safety of all concerned and providing a quality end product, ensuring a Quality installation with all ITP, s completed as the work progresses.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners and visitors;
• Able to obtain Appointed Person status through MWH mechanical AP assessment
• Ensure that all relevant HS&E documents are correctly recorded and reviewed when received and that they are the latest version;
• Provide mechanical isolations in line with project works
• Manage & maintain mechanical ITP's
• Check that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out;
• Review and comment on Method Statements and Work Instructions as required by the Project Execution Plan;
• Supervise work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with Method Statements and Work Instructions;
• Record the progress of the works on record drawings or other suitable means when required;
• Record all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with the person in charge of the works.

Knowledge/Experience:Several years experience of working in the Energy sector. Understands pipework fabrication, welding and erection. Recognises quality welding. Can punch and snag pipelines in accordance with Isometric, GA and P&I drawings.
