Site Supervisor

Salary: 24,483 per annum

Location: Wigan

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent role across the estates / site team.

We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Site Supervisor to ensure our campus is safe, well maintained and fully operational every day.

The Organisation

You’ll be working for a large education provider serving thousands of students, with multiple campuses across the Wigan area. The school is committed to investing in its estate, facilities, and the wellbeing of staff, offering supportive working environments and strong employee benefits.

Role Responsibilities
  • Oversee site security: locking / unlocking campuses, monitoring access, ensuring premises are safe and secure.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks (repairs, upkeep, cleaning, porterage).
  • Drive the college minibus between sites (requiring D1 licence).
  • Actively respond on a call‑out rota / unsociable hours when needed.
  • Use basic IT tools to support site operations.
  • Support the estates / operations team on the Wigan campus.
Essential Requirements
  • Full D1 driving licence and confidence driving a minibus (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proven practical / hands‑on experience of site or facility maintenance / estates duties.
  • Basic IT competency (to perform admin / operational tasks).
  • Flexibility to work unsociable hours or be part of a call‑out rota.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills (able to spot and resolve site issues).
  • Good communication / teamwork skills, working across different campus sites.
