Job summary

Talantir is seeking a Site Supervisor (Civil/Mechanical) to lead on a major Solar energy construction project across Exeter and Buckinghamshire. The role requires strong civil/mechanical expertise, CDM compliance, and hands-on on-site management for a large-scale installation.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of site experience, renewables exposure, and a valid SMSTS/NEC4 supervision accreditation, plus a full UK driving licence. Contract-based, 40 hours/week, starting July 26.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant site experience, including knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety.
• Experience in general civil construction, reinforcement detailing, and checking.
• Renewable energy project experience preferred (substations, cable installation, inverter/PV installation, civil BoP works).
• SMSTS or NEC4 Supervision accreditation (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving license

Responsibilities

• Construction Supervision on site.
• Monitor site progress against programme and prepare review reports.
• Assess work quality, including pre/post-concrete inspections.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and approved RAMS.
• Review contractor documentation such as RAMS, TMP and CMP.
• Support project management and EPC/ICP contract obligations.
• Assist in milestone applications and reporting.
• Conduct H&S audits/observations and log NCRs.
• Coordinate snagging and close-out with contractors.
• Oversee commissioning activities and third-party interfaces.

A new contract assignment is available for a Site Supervisor (Civil/Mechanical ) to support a major Solar energy construction project. This role is ideal for professionals with strong civil/mechanical engineering expertise and practical on site experience within large scale infrastructure or energy projects.
