Site Supervisor - Surfacing

Our client, a leading Tier 2 contractor in the Highways Sector, is currently seeking a Surfacing Site Supervisor to join their team in Oxford. This is a permanent position that involves overseeing surfacing operations on various highways projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.

This position is paying up to £55,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising surfacing operations on-site and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards
• Coordinating with site management, crew members, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Managing resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials effectively
• Conducting regular site inspections and audits to maintain quality control
• Providing clear instructions and guidance to the site team
• Preparing daily reports and maintaining accurate site records
• Implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations on-site
• Ensuring efficiency and productivity to meet project deadlines

Job Requirements:

• Experience in surfacing operations within the highways sector, particularly with Highways England projects
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in relevant software and reporting tools
• Full UK driving license
• Ability to commute within an hour to Oxford
