A leading cleaning service provider in Northallerton is seeking a Site Working Supervisor. This hands-on role requires supervising a cleaning team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and compliance with business standards. Responsibilities include coordinating staff, addressing issues with management, and managing the cleaning services efficiently. Candidates must be able to travel to the site and will undergo an enhanced DBS check.
The Site Working Supervisor has the responsibility of ensuring all of the below is carried out and maintained: To be the first point of contact for cleaners. To ensure that the main duties and additional duties are carried out as per the contract and Bowdraper Ltd guidance. Responsible for supporting and working with all staff under you at your contracted sites and ensuring cleaners are maintaining standards. Cleaners attending the site and using the attendance system; holidays and absences are supported, and cover arrangements are coordinated. Policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Responsible for day-to-day decisions that relate to the effective management of the designated team under you.
To supervise and work with the team to provide a supervisory support service to the contract to improve and maintain the quality and service delivered to the client. To manage and co-ordinate designated teams at the site base to ensure that maximum productivity and efficiency is maintained at all times.
This is a hands‑on role that ensures the work the team is carrying out is completed and maintained efficiently and within agreed deadlines, while meeting or exceeding quality standards. It involves cleaning duties, managing the cleaning service, and supervising the team.
To liaise directly with your line manager to discuss issues and concerns, not with the customer unless there is a direct impact on service.
To supervise and check the cleaning of areas in accordance with the contract and associated areas (i.e. toilets, canteen, etc). Removal of all excess debris and waste, cleaning preparation of areas including surfaces, walls, floors, periodic attention to detail and site‑based requirements, etc, as required. To achieve a high standard of cleaning and hygiene acceptable to the business and the client. To ensure cleaners meet this standard after every shift in readiness for the next shift or day.
