Purpose of the Role

As Site Supervisor you will be based on various projects across the North of the UK managing the safe & efficient delivery of direct and subcontracted works. You will ensure all reporting requirements and management of the client's expectations & contractual requirements are met.

The Site Supervisor will also comply to quality procedures and safe working practices, ensuring the highest possible health, safety and environmental standards are achieved, and safeguarding the wellbeing of employees.

Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands‑on Construction Supervisor to support pre‑construction tender preparation (bid writing, programmes, narratives and take‑offs), lead day‑to‑day site operations and ensure quality delivery to clients; responsibilities include preparing method statements and RAMS, enforcing health and safety and Principal Contractor duties, coordinating crews and subcontractors, liaising with the Site Manager, clients and third parties, managing risk and performance against programme and forecast, supervising installations and testing to manufacturers’ instructions (including VRS and foundation works), organising plant and personnel, completing H&S paperwork on completion, and driving continuous improvement and training across the team.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a qualified civils/highways professional with an HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent NVQ, CSCS card with FISS accreditation, SSSTS/SMSTS/NRSWA (or equivalent) certification, working knowledge of health & safety and experience with NEC4 contracts.

The Site Supervisor should hold a full UK driving licence; you should have hands‑on civil engineering or construction experience (ideally including VRS and high‑speed road networks), knowledge of specifications and testing regimes, the ability to produce and explain accurate plans and drawings, people management abilities, organisational and time‑management skills, the confidence to challenge designs and resolve problems, and a self‑driven, customer‑focused approach.
