Job summary

NES Fircroft are recruiting for a Site Supervisor to support a flagship UK HVDC Interconnector project based in Dunbar. The role is on-site in Dunbar with an initial 12-month contract inside IR35.

You will oversee cable route activities, manage safety plans, coordinate subcontractors and report progress to the Project Installation Manager, ensuring on-time delivery while upholding HSE standards. The role requires strong on-site supervision experience, ability to work with multiple stakeholders

• Manage all activities on cable route including survey, enabling works, trenching, cable laying, jointing and backfilling as per delegation.
• Identify risks (including HSE) and report to Site Manager/Project Installation Manager.
• Plan site work with Site Management to minimize safety-related risks.
• Coordinate delivery of works to ensure adherence to Health & Safety and Environmental plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors and report status to PIM or Senior Site Installation Manager.
• Participate in site meetings with client and provide performance feedback to management.

Site Supervisor

Location: Dunbar

Contract position: Initial 12-month contract, Inside IR35

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all activities on cable route, for example survey, enabling works (access points, fencing, sopil stripping, haul road construction and pre-con drainage installation), trench and joint bay excavations, cable laying, jointing and backfilling and where appropriate test depending on the given delegation.
• Identify risks (including HSE) and opportunities and report to Site Manager/Project Installation Manager.
• Conduct proactive work and decide on actions to mitigate identified risks.
• Identify risks (including HSE) and opportunities and report to PIM.

• Assist the Site Management team to plan the work on the site (scheduling of working hours and activities) such that safety related risks are eliminated or minimized.
• Ensure that the work will be performed according to Health & Safety and Environmental plans.
• Follow up the time schedule and report deviation and changes to the PIM.
• Coordination of subcontractors.
• Report to the Project Installation Manager (PIM) or Senior Site Installation Manager (Sr SIM) which has given him/her the duty under delegation for a specific project.
• Report status/progress in accordance with the project reporting procedure, for example daily report from the land site.
• Ensure that the registration of deviation of Quality and HSE for the installation/service part is carried out throughout the project period and that reporting is submitted to PIM and the Q& HSE responsible in the project.
• When necessary participate on site meeting with client. Responsible for employee performance documentation and feedback to department management
