Overview

What You’ll Do

Join our team as a Highways Site Supervisor, overseeing day-to-day operations on road and highway projects. You’ll manage site teams, coordinate contractors, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects efficiently and to the highest standards. Ideal for a proactive leader with experience in highways or civil engineering looking to take the next step in their career.

  • Supervise daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Manage a team of workers, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, incidents, and personnel activities.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that arise among team members promptly and professionally.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

This role involves regular night shifts and occasional travel requiring overnight stays.

What We Are Looking For
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role in a Civil Engineering environment
  • CSCS Supervisor card and SMSTS/SSSTS
  • Solid understanding of Civil Engineering principles, Drainage, Earthworks and Road constructions
  • Conversant with principal contractor duties and ITP Quality checks
  • Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Proficient in using relevant software for reporting and record keeping
