Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a motivated SHE Advisor to join the North Wales team on the National Grid ETP Framework. You will be embedded with operational teams, helping to drive a strong safety, health, environment and quality culture across major infrastructure schemes in the UK.

This site‑based role requires NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, a UK driving licence, and a proactive, collaborative approach to lead investigations, support project teams, and promote

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate is a must.
• IOSH membership and/or other vocational qualifications desirable.
• Valid UK driving licence (site-based role with travel).
• Experience in a highly regulated sector (e.g. energy transmission).
• Experience on infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of SHE legislation and best practice.
• Proven ability to support or lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to challenge where necessary.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with client, supply chain and project team engagement.
• Passion for driving continuous improvement and shared learning across teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with SHE legislation, industry standards, and procedures.
• Provide leadership, advice, and support to project teams on SHE matters.
• Embed and champion Morgan Sindall’s Protecting People Commitment across projects.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and drive best practice across operations.
• Support and guide management, employees, and supply chain partners.
• Provide coordination and leadership within the SHEQ function.
• Accurately report on SHEQ performance and key metrics.
• Lead or support accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes.
• Function as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners on SHE matters.
• Support and mentor junior members of the SHEQ team.
• Promote a positive culture of safety, wellbeing, and sustainability across all activities.
