Job summary

Greggs is seeking a Site Services Operative at Kettering Distribution Centre to support hygiene operations across the site, ensuring safe food production conditions and a clean, efficient environment. You will handle laundry, tray washing, waste disposal, and recycling, with exposure to flour/dust and cold environments.

The role involves rotating shifts, training provided, and benefits including colleague discounts, health app access, pension, and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy factory or warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of basic health and safety practices.
• Ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Able to stand for long periods, lift and carry, and clean.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day hygiene operations across a range of tasks (laundry, tray washing, waste disposal, recycling).
• Help maintain both the canteen and the external site area.
• Work in a chilled/frozen environment and in line with food safety standards.

About the role

Join us as a Site Services Operative and you'll be a key part of the Greggs Team, helping to keep our manufacturing and distribution centres running smoothly. You will support the day-to-day hygiene operations of the site making sure that our products are made in the safest, most hygienic environment.

You'll be dealing with a variety of equipment and chemicals across a range of tasks, working in line with food and health and safety standards. Our hygiene operations include maintaining laundry, tray washing, waste disposal, recycling and maintaining both the canteen and the external area of the site.

Working in a food production environment means that sometimes you'll be exposed to flour and dust. You will also be expected to work in a chilled/frozen environment.

About you

Ideally, you'll have experience working in a busy factory or warehouse environment. You'll also need:

• A knowledge of basic health and safety practices
• To be able to follow processes and procedures
• To be comfortable standing for long periods of time, lifting and carrying, and cleaning.

If you're enthusiastic, reliable, comfortable with working shifts that could include nights, weekends and bank holidays.
