Job description
Overview

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of a Site Services Manager for a brand-new manufacturing plant. This is a rare opportunity to join a business at the very start of its journey. As Site Services Manager, you'll take ownership of all on-site maintenance, service contracts, and facilities activities, ensuring the site remains safe, compliant, and running efficiently as operations scale up. This is a hands-on, practical role where you'll be the key link between contractors, site teams, and senior leadership, making sure everything from building maintenance to signage and security runs smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of site services and facilities across the new plant.
  • Manage and coordinate contracts for building maintenance, cleaning, security, and groundskeeping.
  • Plan and oversee maintenance visits, contractor permits, and site access.
  • Maintain and improve site infrastructure — including painting, signage, road markings, parking, fencing, drainage, and minor building modifications.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with highways, utilities, and local authorities where necessary (without owning those contracts).
  • Support small-scale projects such as office fit-outs, layout changes, and site improvements.
  • Promote a proactive safety and maintenance culture across the site.
  • Identify and deliver practical improvements to site efficiency, cost control, and sustainability.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience in site services, facilities, or maintenance management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of building maintenance, contractor management, and compliance.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple contractors and service providers effectively.
  • IT literate, ideally with experience using maintenance or asset management systems.
Desirable
  • Experience in plant commissioning or new site start-ups.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE qualification.
  • Exposure to sustainability, waste reduction, or energy efficiency initiatives.
What’s on Offer
  • £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, plus benefits.
  • Day-shift role with excellent work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to shape the site services function from the ground up.
  • A visible, hands-on role within a growing and ambitious organisation.
  • Genuine scope for professional growth as the site and wider business expand.
