A local educational institution in Shrewsbury seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee efficient management of school facilities. Candidates should have relevant experience in health and safety management, effective communication skills, and a full driving licence. What skills and experience we're looking for. To take day-to-day responsibility for the provision of efficient and effective management of facilities and to support the school. This includes ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards set by the school, and that heating and fire systems operate at optimum efficiency. The post holder will plan and prioritise own work and site team members without direct supervision. Evening and weekend work may be required. The postholder will require a full UK Driving Licence (manual). The role involves liaising professionally, courteously, and politely with all stakeholders, trustees, members of staff, students, and parents.
