Job summary

Pilgrims Europe is seeking a Site Services Engineer in Grantham to perform planned and reactive maintenance across site services, including boilers, plant, refrigeration, and effluent systems. You will provide hands-on technical support, escalate issues promptly, and cover the Site Services Team Leader when needed.

Role requires leadership, strong planning, and excellent communication to coordinate contractors and maintain equipment availability while adhering to safety and environmental

Qualifications

• Proven ability to plan and supervise site services maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in plant, boiler, refrigeration and effluent systems.
• Good communication with team and management, able to report on progress and issues.
• Ability to manage contractor work on site with permits and supervision.
• Awareness of lean practices and 5S in work areas.

Responsibilities

• Operate within a team of site services engineers to ensure daily tasks and PPMs keep 100% equipment availability.
• Ensure paperwork is completed and closed out promptly.
• Coordinate contractors on site with permits and supervision.
• Support Site Services Team Leader and cover when off site.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior staff and apprentices on shift.
• Apply 5S/lean practices to optimise plant rooms and working areas.
