Site Service Engineer (Electrical)

£36,500 + performance‑based bonus

Role & Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections on various automated storage systems.
  • Carry out annual servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs of units.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults independently.
  • Support system upgrades, including software updates.
  • Assist with the commissioning and installation of new systems at client sites.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
  • Provide technical support and product training to clients.
  • Complete and submit service reports/documentation promptly and accurately.
  • Manage your own travel and schedule efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Strong willingness to learn and a hands‑on, proactive approach.
  • Experience or qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or general engineering.
  • Excellent fault‑finding and technical problem‑solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility for regional and occasional national travel (including overnight stays).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional presentation and a customer‑first attitude.
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Experience in storage solutions or materials handling (desirable but not essential).
  • Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently.
