Job summary

Guttridge Limited is seeking a Site Service Engineer to service and commission Guttridge and partner company equipment across the bulk handling sector. The role involves commissioning, servicing, repairing machines, and providing reports to customers.

You will conduct risk assessments, work safely under legislation, and lead subcontractors on sites. The successful candidate will travel nationwide, with some overseas opportunities, and must have a full clean driving licence, CSCS/MEWP

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning and servicing bulk handling equipment.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to travel nationwide for site work.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Physical job: operate at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Site Service Engineer to become part of the team, in servicing and commissioning Guttridge and partner company equipment in the bulk handling industry.

Job responsibilities

• Commissioning and supervision of commissioning of newly installed Mitchells Group machines.
• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing installed machines.
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults as part of warranty claims.
• Producing reports which can be shared with customers.
• Preparing and assisting in preparing and completing Risk Assessments and Method Statements to carry out work safely.
• Working within the boundaries set by relevant legislation and company procedures.
• Acting as the lead with subcontractors engaged with tasks at customer sites.
• Identifying any training necessary for the role.
• Ensuring equipment required for the role and retained in the company vehicle are maintained and tested when required.
• Conduct basic site surveys with the requirement to read engineering drawings.
• Provide basic electrical support.

The job involves extensive travelling to customer sites nationwide All expenses for these stays will be met by the company. There is potential for overseas travel which could also see extended periods away. This is a physical job with the requirement to work at heights and occasionally in enclosed spaces.

Full clean driving licence essential. Valid passport preferred. CSCS card preferred. MEWP preferred
