Job summary

Clearsprings Group is seeking a Site Security Officer to provide on-site security at asylum accommodation sites. The role requires vigilance across shifts, incident response, and safeguarding duties to protect service users, staff and assets.

The position involves 48 hours per week with a mix of days and 12-hour night shifts. Applicants must hold an SIA Licence and be prepared for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) required.
• Front-line security or similar experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond to incidents.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence at accommodation sites.
• Monitor access control, conduct patrols, and ensure site integrity.
• Respond to incidents and escalate to Security Team Leader as appropriate.
• Assist safeguarding referrals and protective measures for vulnerable individuals.
• Complete incident reports and documentation accurately and promptly.
• Operate CCTV and other surveillance systems as required.
• Collaborate with housing, operations and safeguarding teams to support service delivery.
• Attend training sessions to maintain readiness.
