Qualifications

• Must hold a valid and in-date SMSTS certification.
• Proven supervising experience in construction or civil engineering.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
• Proficiency in project scheduling and management tasks.
• Strong management skills and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience overseeing large-scale projects with complex logistics.
• Excellent communication to liaise with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors and stakeholders to facilitate smooth site operations.
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
• Supervise site access procedures to ensure only authorised personnel are present on-site.
• Provide guidance and support for safety training initiatives involving site personnel.
• Manage incident reporting processes, ensuring incidents are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
• Support the management team with planning and coordinating project milestones while maintaining health and safety compliance.
