Holland & Barrett is seeking a Site Reliability Engineering Manager in Nuneaton or London to lead a growing SRE team and shape the reliability strategy across our cloud platforms and digital services. You will mentor engineers, implement SLIs/SLOs, and drive observability, automation, and incident learning while partnering with Engineering, Security, Data and Product teams.

Formación

• Experience leading SRE, Platform, DevOps or Cloud Infra teams.
• Strong cloud-native expertise, ideally AWS.
• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven coaching, mentoring and engineer development.
• Track record in observability, automation and reliability.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Security and Data.
• Pragmatic balance of reliability, innovation and customer impact.

Leading a talented team of Site Reliability Engineers, you'll champion modern engineering practices, influence technology strategy and help create platforms that empower our teams to innovate with confidence. What you'll be doing

You'll combine technical leadership with people leadership to drive reliability and operational excellence across our technology landscape. You'll:

• Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing team of Site Reliability Engineers.
• Shape and deliver our Site Reliability Engineering roadmap alongside the Head of Platform.
• Champion modern engineering practices including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, observability and automation.
• Improve the reliability, scalability and performance of our cloud platforms and digital services.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Data and Product teams to embed operational excellence from design through to production.
• Drive the adoption of our observability platform, helping teams gain deeper insight into the health and performance of their services.
• Lead incident learning, continuous improvement and automation initiatives that reduce operational toil.
• Provide technical leadership across AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and distributed systems.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, developing great engineers and influencing positive change. You'll bring:

• Experience leading Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure teams.
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native technologies, ideally within AWS.
• Experience operating and improving large-scale distributed systems.
• A passion for coaching, mentoring and helping engineers thrive.
• Experience driving observability, automation and operational excellence.
• The ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Security and Data.
• A pragmatic approach to balancing reliability, innovation and customer impact.
