Job summary

Mistral AI in London is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own and operate the infrastructure behind sovereign AI, including Linux environments, cloud systems, and AI workloads.

You will troubleshoot incidents to ensure high availability, performance, and security for models, products and compute platforms, and collaborate with research, product, and infrastructure teams to align systems with AI and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux system administration experience at scale.
• Proficiency in Slurm and/or Kubernetes to manage workloads effectively.
• Familiarity with distributed storage, high performance networking, cloud security, or GPU/AI/ML workloads is a plus.
• Customer-focused mindset: diagnose, explain, and resolve technical issues for users.
• Pragmatic, collaborative and hands-on; eager to drive modernisation in a fast-evolving AI infra landscape.

The Role

As a Site Reliability Engineer in the Fleet team, you’ll work at the intersection of frontier models, products, and compute, ensuring our large-scale Linux environments, cloud systems, and AI workloads run reliably. This role is about more than just systems, it’s about enabling customers to leverage Mistral’s sovereign AI solutions with confidence, while helping us evolve toward modern, cloud-native technologies.

What You Will Do
