Job summary

Tempest Vane Partners, London-based investment management group, seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-calibre platform engineering team. You will design, build and operate scalable cloud-native infrastructure supporting trading and analytics environments.

In this role you will drive automation, leverage Kubernetes, IaC and observability tooling, and collaborate with global engineering teams to enhance reliability and performance in a fast-moving market.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and container-based infrastructure.
• Scripting or software engineering in Python, Golang, or Bash.
• Automation tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Knowledge of observability/monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Jaeger.
• Exposure to data streaming/workflow tech like Kafka or Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain enterprise-scale Kubernetes environments.
• Advance cloud-native and distributed architectures.
• Drive automation across infrastructure and workflows.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.
• Improve platform stability, availability and performance.
• Enhance monitoring, observability, and incident response.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams on platform delivery.
