Job summary

LinuxRecruit is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a team dedicated to making systems more reliable, observable, and easier to operate at scale. The role emphasises engineering over firefighting, writing code, building tooling, improving telemetry, and automating repetitive work to prevent incidents.

You will work on building internal tooling, enhancing observability, defining SLIs/SLOs and creating dashboards used by engineers. Experience with large-scale environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build internal tooling and automation to remove manual effort and toil
• Improve observability through OpenTelemetry, logging and monitoring
• Define meaningful SLIs and SLOs for services
• Create dashboards that engineers actually rely on
• Work through incidents, perform root-cause analysis and fix problems
• Explore how AI and LLM tooling can reduce toil and improve operations
