Elite FinTech Firm in London seeks a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to join its production and development teams, ensuring reliability, performance and resilience of mission-critical systems. You will bridge development and operations, solving complex problems across the full production lifecycle.

The role emphasizes automation, incident management, and collaboration with investment teams, with a focus on low-latency environments and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for production-grade tooling.
• Experience with modern development tooling: CI/CD, source control, and build systems.
• Strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset.
• Desirable: networking experience (low latency) or prior HFT exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, availability, and performance of applications in production.
• Automate repetitive operational work and resolve recurring systemic issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and deliver new engineering solutions to complex technical problems.

Location: LDN

A leading global investment firm is looking to grow its Site Reliability Engineering function across multiple offices. The firm operates at significant scale within fast-moving financial markets, and this team plays a central role in keeping mission-critical trading and investment infrastructure reliable, performant, and resilient.

This is a hands-on engineering role combining software and systems expertise. SREs here work across the full lifecycle of production systems from early-stage support during development through to steady-state operation partnering closely with engineering and investment teams to build applications for stability from the outset.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, availability, and performance of applications in production
• Automate repetitive operational work and resolve recurring systemic issues
• Conduct root cause analysis and deliver new engineering solutions to complex technical problems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python preferred)
• Experience with modern software development tooling and practices (testing, source control, CI/CD, build systems)
• SQL/database experience is advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Adaptable, entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in solving hard technical problems
