Job summary

Cavendish (Recruitment) Professionals Ltd is seeking a Site/Project Manager to lead groundworks, civil engineering and infrastructure projects at sites around Gatwick. You will coordinate site teams, manage subcontractors and ensure programmes meet milestones.

This role requires proven delivery capability, strong leadership and compliance with health and safety regulations. A full UK driving licence is essential and professional certifications are needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager or Project Manager in groundworks, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Proven track record delivering projects safely and on time.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and site teams.
• Commercial awareness and programme management experience.
• CSCS Management Card required.
• SMSTS required.
• First Aid at Work certification.
• Fire Marshal certification is beneficial.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations and project delivery.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Monitor project programmes and achieve milestones.
• Ensure works comply with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and QA checks.
• Manage project documentation, reporting and progress updates.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and senior management.
• Identify and resolve site issues to maintain programme objectives.
• Oversee labour, materials and plant requirements.
• Drive high standards of workmanship and operational excellence.
