Job summary

Danish Crown UK is seeking an Operational Buyer to manage daily purchasing activities on site at Bugle, Manchester/Halifax or Rochdale, ensuring materials arrive on time, within budget and to required quality.

You will lead call-off and inventory management, process requisitions, create POs across SAP and JAGGAER, resolve supplier issues, and drive cost improvements while adhering to P2P processes and quality management systems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in operational procurement, ideally within a large, matrix-structured business environment.
• Highly structured and organised with strong task-prioritisation skills and proactive, results-driven mindset.
• Proficiency with SAP and JAGGAER, strong MS Office skills including Excel, and solid understanding of procure-to-pay processes.

Responsibilities

• Call-off & inventory management: Execute call-off orders using established framework agreements and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Daily procurement operations: Process requisitions, verify pricing and specifications, create purchase orders and confirm goods receipts.
• Supplier & issue resolution: Serve as the escalation point for delivery/price discrepancies and manage supplier claims.
• Cost improvement & compliance: Drive material cost savings while adhering to P2P processes and quality management systems.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with operations, logistics, finance and quality assurance to align procurement with site goals.
