We are seeking an organised and proactive Site Procurement Administrator to support our construction projects through effective sourcing, ordering, and coordination of materials, equipment, and plant.

The Site Procurement Administrator will support the construction projects by managing and coordinating the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for site operations. The role ensures timely delivery of quality materials in line with project specifications, budgets, and schedules while maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance with company procurement policies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Source and procure materials, plant, and consumables from approved and new suppliers.
  • Prepare, process, and track purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.
  • Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for construction materials, plant hire, subcontract services and accommodation.
  • Ensure that all orders are placed in accordance with project timelines and material schedules.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to confirm delivery dates, specifications, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Monitor material delivery progress and report any changes to the Site Managers.
  • Maintain procurement logs, material tracking sheets, and delivery registers.
  • Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments to coordinate deliveries to site. Verify that deliveries meet quality and quantity specifications.
  • Assist with site stock checks and management of site stores where applicable.
  • Support the resolution of supplier invoice queries and discrepancies with the finance team.
  • Carry out local collections / deliveries when required.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Strong procurement or purchasing experience, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Solid understanding of construction materials, plant, and suppliers.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Professional, proactive, and confident communicator.
  • Ideally have experience with purchase order systems.
  • Ideally have knowledge of supply chain compliance, e.g. ensuring suppliers meet accreditation or H&S requirements.
