Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced operative to work in a recycling plant in Ellesmere Port. Job description
Overview

Our client is looking to expand its workforce with an experienced operative; working Monday to Thursday, 6am to 6pm daily. You must have a current and in date Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.



Responsibilities


  • Operating all components of the recycling plant and machinery.

  • Producing products to the client's specifications on the PET hot wash recycling production line.

  • Handling/loading raw materials into the plant for processing and handling/unloading finished products.

  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, or pallet jacks, safely and responsibly.

  • Ensure material supply for machinery are maintained and topped up.

  • Maximising production output during shift.

  • Carry out quality checks and report to the Shift/Production Manager/Supervisor any concerns or doubts relating to specification or machinery performance.

  • Removal and segregation of scrap products.

  • Perform production related inventory management tasks.

  • Loading and unloading shipments in containers, curtain sided wagons etc.; ensuring items are handled with care.

  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health, safety and operational standards.

  • Perform routine operational checks and accurately record checks completed.

  • Lifting and manual handling required.

  • Perform basic electronic data entry.

  • Assist engineers and managers with any and all task and responsibility as assigned.

  • Complete handover to next shift.
