Overview

Site Operations Manager

Contract: Healthcare

Location: Orpington, BR6 9JU

Hours of work: 40

Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking a skilled and motivated leader to oversee contract management and the continuous improvement of Soft FM services across multiple sites, including housekeeping, catering, portering, waste, small retail and workforce management. You will be responsible for ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards, fully aligned with client expectations, contractual obligations and ISS policies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, inspire and manage multidisciplinary Soft FM teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service
  • Act as the senior operational lead for clients, building trusted partnerships and ensuring alignment with site priorities
  • Develop and execute operational plans that drive innovation, sustainability and digital transformation
  • Oversee day-to-day delivery of all Soft FM services, ensuring KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations are met
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, company and HSE requirements while promoting best practice and continuous improvement
  • Serve as the primary client contact, anticipating needs and delivering proactive, hospitality-driven solutions
  • Lead, coach and develop a diverse workforce, embedding a culture of accountability, engagement and professional growth
  • Support cross-training, succession planning and workforce development to strengthen operational resilience
  • Manage budgets, monitor performance and identify savings while protecting service quality
  • Support business cases, contract reviews and service development through data-driven insight
  • Lead audit readiness, risk and safety governance, ensuring full regulatory compliance
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, digital tools adoption and continuous service enhancement through feedback and benchmarking
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • FM Level 3–4 or equivalent in Facilities or Service Management
  • Proven leadership experience in Soft FM or hospitality operations, with strong people management skills
  • Soft services background, preferably within NHS or wider FM environment
  • Demonstrated experience in performance reporting, contract and budget management
  • Strong stakeholder management and client relationship skills
  • A proactive, calm, and professional approach under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to drive customer experience, service excellence, and operational ownership
  • Proficiency in CAFM systems, Microsoft Office, Excel and digital reporting tools
