Job summary

ASCO Group Limited in Great Yarmouth seeks a Site Operations Supervisor to oversee the efficient running of the waste transfer station. You will lead site personnel to deliver safe, cost-effective waste services, reporting to the Waste Transfer Station Manager.

The role requires strong people management and knowledge of waste processes, site permits, and HSG71 guidance. Applicants should be adept with WaMS and MS Office, able to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in chemistry required.
• Hazardous waste COTC, or willingness to complete.
• Knowledge of waste processes and site permits/laws.
• Proficient with MS Office and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of the waste transfer station in Great Yarmouth.
• Lead site personnel to ensure safe, cost-effective service delivery.
• Manage waste inputs/outputs via WaMS system per client contracts.
• Ensure compliance with permits, planning conditions and HSG71 guidance.
• Report incidents and conduct investigations as required.
• Perform risk assessments for all activities to meet HSE requirements.
• Maintain safety culture and supervise staff for continuous improvement.
• Support manager during periods of absence and provide leadership.
