Overview

WorkwithSchools is recruiting Site Managers for a number of school clients based in and around York and North Yorkshire. The role ensures that school buildings and grounds are safe, secure and in proper working order.

Key Duties
  • Security of buildings and grounds, monitoring CCTV and intruder alarms.
  • First point of contact for access to premises, operating out of hours.
  • Security checks, rota system for unlocking, locking and securing buildings.
  • Fire safety and health and safety compliance: testing fire equipment, evacuations, legionella and other legal checks.
  • Adherence to COSHH regulations, keeping records up to date.
  • Repairs: changing light bulbs, securing windows, general painting & decorating, unblocking sinks, liaising with external contractors.
  • Premises cleanliness: removing graffiti, rubbish, leaves; cleaning up after ill students or accidents.
  • Keeping sites tidy, gitter and maintaining the sites.
  • Arranging furniture, preparing rooms for meetings, exams, assemblies and after‑school events.
