A local government organization in Butterwick seeks a Site Manager to oversee premises management and compliance at their centre. The role requires strong practical skills and an interest in premises management. Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance tasks and working closely with the Centre Leadership Team to enhance service quality. Prospective candidates will enjoy 26 days of holiday increasing to 32, plus a pension scheme and training opportunities.
The Site Manager is a key player in premises management, compliance and health and safety at the centre. Responsibilities include but are not exhaustive; site and vehicle checks, basic maintenance tasks, co‑ordinating contractors. The Site Manager will contribute to the effective running of the centre as part of the Centre Leadership Team through collaboration with the House Manager, Programme (Operations) Manager and Business Support Officer. The role also has opportunity to contribute to the development and culture of Lancashire Outdoor Education as part of the Premises Management Team. This working group led by the Head of Outdoor Education ensures consistency, quality, and progression of our site provision. This staffing structure allows qualified and/or experienced individuals to focus on their area of our service and to support each other as part of the Centre Leadership Team in meeting our customer needs. The centres are overseen by the Head of Outdoor Education to ensure quality, efficiency and strategic direction aligned with and contributing to Lancashire County Council.
Borwick Hall situated in the heart of Borwick village, our extensive grounds lie alongside the Lancaster Canal, giving us excellent access to this wonderful resource. Located just 2 miles from Junction 35 on the M6, Borwick Hall offers easy access to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National parks. The accommodation consists of 158 bed capacity over several buildings including the Main Hall a Grade 1 listed building, Beckside with 3 accommodation wings, and a covert stables block with conference facilities and a stand‑alone bungalow. The centre offers extensive facilities to provide for a range of customers’ needs.
