Job description

Our client is recruiting a permanent Site Manager to work on shopfitting projects across the UK. The company is an interior fit out contractor who specialise in projects in the retail sector. They’re based near Wakefield and have an excellent reputation for delivering fast-track fit-outs, refurbishments, and new build construction projects for major retail brands across the country. Some of their clients are Marks & Spencer, Pets at Home, Specsavers, Morrison’s, Arnold Clark, Gregg’s etc… Projects can be nationwide so you must be willing to travel and to lodge away (lodgings will be provided).

The Role :
  • This is a site-based role, reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager.
  • Liaising professionally with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers at all levels to ensure projects are managed efficiently.
  • Understanding and implementing of project programmes independently and / or alongside Contract Managers.
  • Managing day to day sub-contract works to ensure these are undertaken safely, as per scope, programme and contract terms.
  • Completion, compliance and control of site paperwork including filing of documentation
  • Site / client facing meetings as necessary.
  • Working closely with and supporting Contracts Manager, Commercial Team, Directors and other team members on a regular basis.
