A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Residential Site Manager to oversee operations for a new housing development in Essex. This role involves managing site activities, supervising trades and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in residential projects, strong leadership skills, and essential certifications. We re seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a new housing development. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for delivering high-quality homes safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining excellent communication with the client, subcontractors, and the wider project team.
Manage all site activities to ensure work is completed safely, to specification, on schedule, and to a high standard.
Supervise and coordinate trades, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Conduct daily site inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to the Contracts/Project Manager.
Manage site documentation, including RAMS, QA checks, and site diaries.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and local authorities.
Ensure a clean, organised, and compliant site at all times.
Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential housing projects (ideally new build).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Strong knowledge of building regulations, NHBC standards, and construction best practices.
Ability to manage multiple trades and drive progress under tight deadlines.
SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card), and First Aid certifications essential.
Good IT skills and familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Viewpoint, Procore, or similar) desirable.
