Job summary

Rehlko in the United Kingdom is hiring an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead daily operations across construction and installation sites. You will manage Rehlko and subcontractor teams, enforce RAMS, and ensure safety, quality and budgets are met on hyperscale generator projects.

You’ll drive on-site Health & Safety, plan works with the Projects team, and build strong client relationships while promoting operational excellence and career development within a supportive, family-led

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction or industrial M&E environments.
  • SMSTS certification (essential).
  • Strong reading and interpretation of technical drawings and project documentation.
  • Good IT skills, including ERP and SharePoint proficiency.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and onsite RAMS.

Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification, on programme, and within budget.
  • Lead and manage on‑site personnel and subcontractor teams.
  • Act as on‑site Health & Safety authority, enforcing safe systems of work.
  • Prepare and approve RAMS, and review RAMS for subcontractors.
  • Manage Permit to Work and Isolation procedures across all site activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with Projects to plan works and provide progress updates.
  • Attend Head Office meetings in Derbyshire as required for handovers.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Site Manager to take full responsibility for day-to-day operations across our construction and installation sites. You’ll lead from the front, managing Rehlko and subcontractor teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, with a particular focus on the installation of large diesel generator systems into hyperscale projects. You’ll act as the key on-site authority for Health & Safety, drive quality and compliance, and build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This role offers the chance to work on diverse and technically complex projects within the power generation and M&E environments, alongside genuine career development opportunities into senior management or project leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification, on programme, and within budget
  • Lead and manage both Rehlko (WBPS) personnel and subcontractor teams on site
  • Act as the primary Health & Safety authority, enforcing safe systems of work and company procedures at all times
  • Prepare and approve company RAMS, and review and sign off subcontractor RAMS
  • Manage Permit to Work and Isolation procedures across all site activities
  • Identify, mitigate, and report risks, escalating any significant issues or delays to the Project Manager or Technical Director
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Collaborate with the Projects team to plan works and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
  • Attend Head Office meetings in Derbyshire as required for project handovers and team briefings
  • Represent the business professionally, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence
  • Carry out pre-start inspections and post-completion checks to ensure all works meet Rehlko quality standards
What You’ll Need
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction or industrial M&E environments
  • SMSTS certification (essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO standards and current Health & Safety legislation
  • Experience managing subcontractors, enforcing RAMS, and leading site operations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a professional, client-facing approach
  • Good IT proficiency, including experience with systems such as ERP and SharePoint
  • Desirable: experience within power generation or wider M&E sectors
