Job Description

Freelance Site Manager Job – Refurb & Extension Project – Long Term – Start ASAP

Your new role

• Oversee all on-site activities related to the refurbishment and extension works.
• Ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and site cleanliness.
• Liaise with school representatives and stakeholders to minimise disruption to school operations.
• Monitor progress and produce regular site reports.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and quality standards.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience managing refurbishment and extension projects, ideally within the education sector.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, health & safety, and site logistics.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain tight schedules.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is highly desirable (or willingness to obtain).
• SMSTS, First Aid & CSCS certifications.
