Project description
Fit out of Grade 2 listed building back of house, café / bar, kitchen & WC. Project Value: £11m. 1 year + duration
Your site management responsibilities
- You would be responsible for the day to day operations and driving the project programme. Managing 3-4 sub-contractors, drylining, carpentry and internal packages with 20-25 trades on site.
- You will form part of a 3 person management team including Site Manager (demolition, façade, structural and Temporary works) & MEP Manager (mechanical, electrical & plumbing packages).
- Pre-contract meetings with subcontractors to agree procedures, clarify roles, contract order, site mobilisation, iron out any pending issues and communicate clear vision of the project
- Weekly subcontractors progress meeting to discuss project progress and milestones, current and potential delays. Creating an action plan to address delays
- Delivering monthly and 2-week look ahead programme to subcontractors, regularly reviewing their progress against the programme
- Liaising with the design team to resolve design issues and clashes, ensuring that revised or as built drawings are released based on new information and issued to respective subcontractors
- Regular snagging and QA of subcontractors works ensuring that they are built as specified in the drawings and workmanship conforms to building regulations and standards
- Implementing and upholding high standards of Health and Safety ensuring all supply chain adhere to H&S standards and site rules
- Sub-contractors RAMS review and approval prior to works commencing on site
- Issuing RFIs, CVIs, technical submittals and updating register
- Managing requisition of materials and delivery on site
- Liaising with the QS in respect to monthly valuations, NCRs and EAIs
- Liaising with H&S officer and Clerk of works, closing out their respective action reports in a timely manner
Skills, attributes and experience
- Minimum of 10 years' construction experience with a principal contractor
- Proven interiors experience within CAT A Fit out, Heritage, Super Prime Resi or hotels
- Energetic and enjoys the challenge of successfully delivering a quality fit out

- SMSTS / 1st Aid / CSCS - Black
- Preferred trade - Carpentry & Joinery or Dry Liner / Ceiling Fixer
