Job description

My client is looking for a Competent Site Manager for a principal contractor role based in London.

The role will be initially for 7 weeks starting 5th Jan but there is scope for this to be extended.

Bill rate is £40 ph – £43 ph based on an 8hr day.

Role Requirements
  • Competent Site Manager for a principal contractor role.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and Health & Safety.
  • SMSTS certification expected.
  • Mechanical experience essential (chillers and pipework).
  • Ideal experience level: 5–7 years, leaning towards more senior candidates.
Technical Skills
  • BMS experience beneficial (Siemens system currently in use).
  • Familiarity with Metasys is a plus.
  • 50/50 mix of BMS and mechanical expertise.
Project Context
  • New project, first engagement with this client.
  • Potential for future work nationwide if successful.
  • Noise‑sensitive site (basement work), so noise control is important.
Certification & Compliance
  • SMSTS expected (though not explicitly specified by client).
  • General expectation most candidates will have this.
Location & Work Schedule
  • Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Mon–Fri).
  • Fridays may allow early finish in the afternoon.
