Job Description

Site Manager

6 months contract – Start ASAP

Location: Stevenage

Day Rate: £275 - £325 (DOE)

Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Are you a technically strong Site Manager who can run detailed civils works in highly regulated environments? You’ll be working on a major programme of works including substations, security facilities, ducting, drainage, 278 works, road widening and infrastructure upgrades. This is not your typical groundwork’s role — these environments require precision, process and client interaction at the highest level.

Responsibilities

• Leading site operations day-to-day
• Managing groundworks, ducting, RC, infrastructure packages
• Reading & working from technical drawings (essential)
• Coordinating in-house teams and subcontractors
• Ensuring high quality & H&S standards
• Liaising heavily with client representatives
• Completing quality control documentation
• Supporting weekend / out-of-hours works when required

What you must bring

• Proven Site Manager / Site Agent background
• Strong civils / groundworks / ducting experience
• Ability to read drawings & manage technical detail
• Client-facing confidence
• Experience in process-driven or regulated environments
• 278 / highways experience (beneficial)
• Tickets required: SMSTS, CSCS Card, Asbestos Awareness
