Site Manager – Structured Cabling
Location: Client Sites (UK) or E14
Reports to: Project Manager
About the Role: Our client is seeking a Site Manager to lead and oversee structured cabling works on construction projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient delivery across multiple sites.

Responsibilities
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • Quality Management: Develop and implement quality control plans, ensuring projects meet or exceed standards.
  • Communication: Provide clear, regular updates on progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and guide engineering teams, resolving conflicts and ensuring alignment on project goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Review processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to drive efficiency.
  • Technical & Operational Duties: Copper & Fibre installation systems, testing, and fault-finding.
  • Competency with Fluke test equipment & LinkWare Live.
  • Understanding of shielded cabling earthing practices.
  • Produce project documentation: patching schedules, RAMs, progress reports (Word/Excel), H&S inspections, toolbox talks, PPE checks, and timesheets.
  • Manage permits, inductions, and daily/weekly briefings.
  • Submit and manage project documentation, including “As Built” records.
  • Coordinate multiple teams of engineers across projects.
  • Attend and represent in client meetings.
Person Specification / Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects (structured cabling or related).
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Professional, proactive, and approachable with the ability to build strong client and team relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple platforms.
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and strong work ethic.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • SMSTS (or equivalent).
  • Manager ECS Card.
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects).
