Your responsibilities will include managing construction activities and ensuring safety standards are met. An experienced / ambitious Site Manager looking to progress, is required to work on 2 new MOD projects between £3m & £8m. Both of these projects are secured but looking for a start in the new year. They both consist of building officers accommodation. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site-based construction activities for your building including:
The contractor is the busy Wiltshire based regional office of a larger main contractor group with roughly £40m annual turnover for the region, and solid pipeline of work for the future. Workload patch is typically Wiltshire and Berkshire with scope of works including education, commercial, industrial, care/retirement and leisure. Workload is typically secured through a mixture of negotiated schemes, frameworks and competitive tenders.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills. Proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous. Ideally from a trades, construction management or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail and finishes, you will possess strong planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, ‘get it right first time’ approach. A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management would be advantageous, but not essential based on experience. You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role. High standards, attention to detail and the drive to deliver on spec, budget and programme will be very well rewarded with excellent salary, benefits, promotional and development prospects.
