Job summary

Bigblue Search Ltd. is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a luxury residential project near Chichester, West Sussex. You will take day-to-day ownership for the final six months, delivering a high-end interior fit-out with bespoke finishes and strict quality control.

Reporting to a visiting Project Manager, you will coordinate specialist subcontractors, manage the programme and ensure milestones are met while upholding the highest standards of workmanship for a £16m private residence.

Site Manager - Luxury Residential

Chichester, West Sussex

£60,000-£70,000 + Package

How would you fancy taking over a £16m luxury residential project just as it gets to the best part? All the heavy construction work is pretty much complete, and you've got six months to deliver the high-end finishes that turn an impressive building into a seriously special private home.

This is an opportunity to join an established High End Residential contractor delivering a stunning 10,000 sq ft new-build residence near Chichester, complete with an outdoor swimming pool, outbuildings and some exceptional bespoke finishes.

The project is already well underway, with the main structure nearing completion. Now comes the interesting bit. We're talking the full luxury internal fit-out, coordinating specialist trades, managing intricate finishes and making sure every detail is absolutely spot on before the keys are handed over.

They're looking for an experienced Site Manager to take the reins for the final six months, running the site day-to-day and taking full ownership of the finishing stages through to handover.

You'll be the main person on site, managing specialist subcontractors, coordinating trades, keeping the programme moving and making sure the quality of work matches what's expected on a £16m private residence. You'll report into a visiting Project Manager, giving you the support you need while still having the freedom to run the job properly.

And this isn't just about one project. The contractor has a strong pipeline of high-end residential work coming through, with future schemes in Godalming, Southampton and Winchester. There's a real opportunity to become part of the team longer term, delivering some seriously impressive homes across the South.

What you'll be doing:

• Taking day-to-day ownership of the final six months of a £16m luxury residential new build near Chichester
• Managing the complete high-end internal fit-out, specialist finishes and final stages through to handover
• Coordinating specialist subcontractors, trades and suppliers to keep everything running smoothly
• Managing the programme, sequencing works and ensuring key milestones are achieved
• Reviewing drawings, checking workmanship and making sure every detail is finished to the highest standard
• Overseeing site logistics, deliveries, health & safety and quality control
• Managing snagging, final inspections and ensuring the property is ready for a successful handover
• Reporting into a visiting Project Manager and keeping them updated on progress, challenges and programme

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering high-end or luxury residential projects
• Strong background in high-end fit-out, bespoke finishes and the final stages of residential construction
• A genuine eye for detail and an understanding of the quality expected on multi-million-pound private homes
• Confident managing specialist subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades at once
• Able to read technical drawings, manage programmes and spot potential issues before they cause delays
• Comfortable running a site independently, with support from a visiting PM
• Organised, proactive and able to keep standards high right through to final handover
• Based within a sensible commute of Chichester, with flexibility for future projects across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex
