Job description
Overview

Site Manager (Civils) – Marine / Civil Site Manager is required on an exciting new project in Portsmouth. Our client is looking for top-tier talent to ensure their upcoming civil engineering works run smoothly and professionally through all stages of the project.

This project will involve sheet piling, concreting works, marine piling and heavy civils components.

Responsibilities
  • Development of Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Plans for water distribution project.
  • Guaranteeing defect-free marine & civil construction works.
  • Considering the needs of local communities and the public.
  • Reviewing RAMS
  • Managing, supervising, and mentoring the site team.
  • Hiring trained and experienced site operatives.
  • Promoting cost-efficient management and resource use.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and updating project schedules.
  • Preparing and reviewing safety method statements and risk assessments.
  • Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose and operated by trained personnel.
  • Preparing records for measurement and payment.
  • Providing "as constructed" records for the Health and Safety File.
Experience, Skills, and Requirements
  • Civil Engineering/Site Management qualifications or a degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management.
  • Experience with marine engineering, piling, heavy civils projects
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Management certification (e.g., IOSH).
  • A valid driving license.
  • CSCS Black / Gold Card
  • First Aid at Work.
  • SMSTS
