Job summary

A respected engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee installations across various projects in the North of England. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of experience managing construction or heavy engineering sites, alongside a strong understanding of mechanical installation and the ability to read engineering drawings. This role offers a daily rate of £325–£375 outside IR35 for a 6-month contract.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise daily on-site activities
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with Health & Safety legislation
  • Lead daily briefings and maintain clear communication with clients
  • Manage and maintain all site-based H&S files
  • Coordinate deliveries, logistics and sequencing of installation activities

Skills

5–10 years' experience managing construction or heavy engineering sites
Strong knowledge of mechanical installation
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

£325–£375 p/d (Outside IR35) 6-month contract Heavy Engineering / Mechanical Installations / Infrastructure Projects

My client is a respected engineering organisation and are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the installation and coordination of works on a major scheme in the North of England.

Daily Duties of the Site Manager:
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise daily on-site activities
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
  • Lead daily briefings and maintain clear communication with clients, contractors and internal teams
  • Manage and maintain all site-based H&S files, quality records and regulatory documentation
  • Coordinate deliveries, logistics and the sequencing of installation activities
The Ideal Site Manager Will Have:
  • 5–10 years' experience managing construction or heavy engineering sites
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, steelwork and or heavy plant assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
