Job summary

Cotech Building Careers is assisting a premier UK construction contractor in recruiting a Site Manager with extensive temporary works experience for a major phased development in the south. The initial deconstruction phase will run for around 18 months before a major new build begins.

The successful candidate will work closely with local stakeholders and engineering teams, leading safety and technical coordination on site to ensure timely delivery and compliance across the phase.

Qualifications

• SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
• CSCS card is required.
• Temporary works experience or certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead temporary works activities and site safety on a major phased development.
• Coordinate deconstruction work with stakeholders and the local team.
• Ensure delivery milestones are met during the 18-month initial phase.

This well know and respected contractor has worked in the southern home counties for decades, and has a strong foothold in many top frameworks delivering multi million pound schemes in Eduction, Health Civic Leisure and R&D projects.

As well as its main stream activities the company are engaged in a major phased development requiring a complex deconstruction of a major facility. This complex work requires the attention of a Site Manager with extensive temporary works experience. The ideal candidate is likely to be from an Engineering background, and be looking for an opportunity to join a major contractor with diverse and technically challenging. projects.

The project demands extensive interface with local stakeholders, and this initial phase runs for around 18months before a major new build project commences.
