Job Title: Site Manager – 4-Month Cladding Project (Social Housing)

Location: Chichester

Contract Length: 4 Months

Salary: £32ph CIS

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee a 4-month cladding project for a social housing scheme. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage contractors on site, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and housing regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations on site, ensuring work is completed safely and to schedule.
  • Supervise contractors and site teams, maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations, including asbestos management and cladding safety standards.
  • Liaise with residents, clients, and project stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on project progress, health and safety, and compliance.
Essential Qualifications / Certifications
  • Asbestos Awareness: UKATA or IATP certified
  • CSCS: Gold or above
  • Housing Maintenance: CIH Certificate in Managing Housing Maintenance
  • Health & Safety: SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
  • DBS: Basic check
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience managing construction or refurbishment projects, ideally in social housing.
  • Strong knowledge of cladding works, asbestos management, and housing maintenance standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple contractors.
