Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and site documentation is kept up to date.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors and stakeholders for smooth delivery.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Maintain site records, inspections, progress reports and SHDF documentation.
• Liaise with residents and teams to minimise disruption.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee an SHDF (Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund) project in Brixton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with proven SHDF experience to join an established contractor delivering energy-efficiency improvements within occupied social housing properties. The role offers ongoing work at £32 per hour CIS, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position.

Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of SHDF works across social housing properties.

• Manage subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently.

• Monitor progress against programme deadlines and maintain high standards of quality.

• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and site documentation is kept up to date.

• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.

• Monitor workmanship and ensure works comply with specifications and relevant standards.

• Manage site records, inspections, progress reports and SHDF project documentation.

• Liaise with residents and relevant teams where required to minimise disruption and ensure works progress smoothly.

Essential Requirements

• Previous SHDF project experience is essential.

• Valid SMSTS.

• Valid Black or Gold CSCS card.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Previous experience managing subcontractors and site teams within social housing or planned maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of health and safety, quality control and programme management.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
